Royal Rumble (2018) was professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and WWE Network event produced by WWE for the Raw and SmackDown brands. It took place on January 28, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was the thirty-first event under the Royal Rumble chronology. The women's Royal Rumble match will feature 30 participants an increase from 20 that took part in each of the last two.
A total of eleven matches were advertised for the event with a total of 13 taking place. In the main event Kenny Omega won the men's Royal Rumble match. The women's Royal Rumble was won by Lena. Elsewhere both Kazuchika Okada and Asuka retained their titles before Bray Wyatt and Emma cashed-in their Money in the Bank contracts, thus making it the first event in which multiple Money in the Bank contracts were cashed-in. Hideo Itami won the Cruiserweight Championship in a triple threat match against defending champion Cedric Alexander and former champion Jack Gallagher. The only other title change saw Wolfpac (AJ Styles and James Harrison) defeated Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa) to win the WWE Tag Team Championship as a result Harrison became the first individual to win the championship six times.
